When you start a new domain, you need to do routine tasks.

Before you acquire a domain, check the history of the domain.

1. Wayback Machine (https://archive.org/web/)
2. Check the domain on VirusTotal (https://www.virustotal.com/)
3. Also check certificate transparency logs.

After you acquire the domain:

1. Add DNS
   - Add MX records
   - Add SPF, DKIM, DMARC
   - Add A records
   - Add AAAA records
   - CAA records
2. Add to Have I Been Pwned
3. Set up RedSift Monitoring
4. Add to Google Search Console
5. Add to Google Postmaster
6. Add to HSTS Preload List
7. Enable DNSSEC
